Magnificent Insignificance

A new moon in the sky,

giving those who look up

a slight hint

of the magnificence to come,

insignificant in the vastness of space.

Our own orbital satellite;

a piece of rock that rotates around the Earth

with the push and pull of lunacy.

What is it that “they” always say?

“There’s nothing half vast about the universe.”

I THINK that’s it.
