Happy New Year!

Let the bells ring this New Year's Day
And signal the bad to just go away

Glimmer of sunlight dawns over the swamp,
Finally may get that workmen's comp

In the form of someone who cares this year,
About us and not just the man in the mirror

Let's welcome the light in this new dark age,

Let's leave behind the chaos and turn the page

And look forward instead of looking behind,
Clinging to any wreckage that we can find

Let's build it up instead of tearing it down
Let's all wear a smile instead of a frown

So Happy New Year, Twenty Twenty One
Let's welcome possibility, let's welcome the sun

I'll go along with that thought. A good poem and good rhyming. Thanks Mike!
