This is an old letter from many years ago and is not dated.

Dear Owen,

If you have received and are reading this letter, then I am contemplating ending it all. I can’t see myself continuing in this life, where things keep falling apart just as it seems to be getting better. I don’t want to die, but I can’t keep living either. I now have to face the terrible decision of whether to continue in my pain or cause pain to other, if I go. I don’t know what I did to make you so uncomfortable that don’t want to be my friend anymore, but I’m sorry. I do really appreciate you and your friendship and am so grateful for your help. I hope that things go well for you in the future, you’ll be great and I it. I’ve enjoyed learning about you and being able to tell you about myself, though it has led me to relying on you more than you should have to deal with.

Your Friend,

Shawn Wood
