This poem is about being free

I

The price of freedom

Is naught, compared to the hunger born from within

As all who love; yearn to be free

Free from shame and the shadows of doubt and fear

II

A longing to be free of the masks we all wear in life

The freedom to be our true selves

As we trek along, on this journey of self discovery

A journey which holds no bounds

Now that all self doubt is shed

The journey into countless discoveries and delights

Can begin, anew

III

A grey area no more,

But one that’s filled with such blinding light,

A light that shines with such knowing joy

That fills the heart with lightness and belonging,

Like being back in the home we all know yet cannot remember

A home of pure instinct and spiritual insight
