You Lost a Friend
You just lost a friend
When you lied to me
You just lost a friend
When you were remiss
About how much I really love you
You just lost a friend
You’ll never win back.
It’s your loss
And I never want to hear from you again
It’s the bitter end
And we’ll never pretend
To be friends again.
I don’t want to hear
Another word from you
How can I still
Be your friend?
If you still pretend
To be friends again
Or to love me?
All you want to do
Is break my heart again
I never want to hear another word from you
And I never want to hear another lie.

Bukowski was right, Craig. Love in the wrong hands - some love to play mind games. They think what they bring to the table excuses their hormonal behaviour. They're feral creatures. Friend or lover - they will betray you. It's a love/hate thing, forever going round in circles.

Broken hearts make the best poetry. It hurts, but something comes out of it you couldn't envisage. Anyway, I love her and probably always will. Yeah, she'll break my heart a few more times, but love is blind and I will always forgive her. I'm lucky to have known her all these years even if I never see her again. Love is blind.
