Cthulhu Mythos poem.

Known only in legend,

Beyond the Basalt Pillars of the West.

Being the Land of Hope,

Where reside all perfect ideals.

Many groves and cities,

With splendid palaces.

Aloe and sandalwood,

To be found in their forests.

Birds on mountainsides,

Where Temples of pink marble stand.

The cities of Cathuria,

Enclosed in walls of gold.

Strange orchids in the gardens,

And odd perfumed lakes.

The dwellings are all palaces,

Built over the sacred river Narg;

Flowing from within the depths of the earth.

Wise dreamers know that the twin

Basalt Pillars of the West

Are the gates of a monstrous cataract

Where the oceans of the Dreamlands

Drop into the Void; other worlds, other stars,

Beyond the known universe

Ruled by the Daemon Sultan Azag-Thoth;

Where dance the blind and mindless

Other Gods...
