Ode of Butterflies
Oh! What beautiful creatures
Butterflies are!
So very near
And yet so far
Pollinating flowers
From spring to fall
Brightening the days of all.
But that’s not all
These soulful creatures do
They are often praised
In cultures, too
Guiding the living
Through trial and strife
And celebrating the dead
Through neverending life.
Oh! What would we do
Without these monarchs in the sky
Raising our joy
To levels sky-high
Dancing in air
Like kids of yore
We send our thanksgivings
Forevermore.
