Blind Love

I want you more than I should

I want to reach out more than I could

Always afraid of that step, a coward

The fear of that distance has soured

Perception of love perhaps devoured

Even still I am not above temptation

Even against my better deliberation

I find myself looking toward participation

Looking at an open door awaiting an invitation

Apprehensive. Stuck pensive

The cost of waiting is always too expensive

Here I sit though, the care of these words intensive

Because such a simple procedure feels so extensive

Waiting to watch the opportunity pass

So unfortunate I’m stuck on one sided glass

Yet somehow at an impasse

Fortune’s fool has taken me to class

If only this was an age of poetry among the mass

For then my words could feel as the grass

Does through the spaces of your toes

Unless you’re not a fan, who knows

As the story of blind love goes

My attempts seem to go

As far as the feather throws

Ah It would appear as I try the confusions grows

A fan of your happiness is all I hope this shows.
