I wrote this thinking of someone in particular, but it can be used for many. It's made to reflect both sides, even though it's details are from ones own perspective.

Through nearby trees I'm graced
A warmth, in return, from my face

Its radiance, too soon, taken away
From my window, now all is grey

The high winds come roll in, a blow'n
Think'n its safer inside, is where i'm stay'n

A pretty picture, that's fallen... shattered
Drapes tattered, and a door that's battered

My minds eye decieved, by my own belief
Hold'n onto blind faith, is my only relief

Lay low, lies be lay'n, nicely laid
Kept near, held tight and gently made

Easy to take away, what's not so easily given
All my hopes are what keeps me driven

Now older,  the grey clouds lie in my eyes
No sense fear'n storms, that are now my size

Winter's howling chill, numbs me still
Ignoring pain... as I go, against my will

Troubles be a blow'n, scared head to toe
Friend or foe, whirlwind tossed, to-and-fro

Trying to hold onto, all that was taken
Real or not, what never was... so mistaken

Lay low, lies be lay'n, nicely laid
Kept near, held tight and gently made
