Card trick for Sale
Try this one on for size
can thine eye fine as it were
be glanced down and seize
the prize not where it was,
but where it be here
Sir, watch here
Put faith in thine eye
Like faith in the Lord
For right here in the gambling dive
Soul and trick alike are bought and sold
By the one friend
who is friend to all friends
until the bitter burning
End
Ramshackle
The Blind Bandit Ramshackle
Once lit a knife with candlelight
and cut out the pock ridden eye
and burned the bridge of sight
The Blind Bandit Ramshackle
Stalked horizons grey
Ill-fitted the name that rode before him
For one eye remained
And with one Eye
Ramshackle kept astray
From day to day
And against the night's sky
Ramshackle lead a life of robbery and Murder
For the Blind Bandit believed not in God
The All smity
He believed in the bullet, the blade
And the grave further
Mr. Preacher
Trying to grasp the things beyond his Reach
Mr. Oliver Teach sought to understand the Word of God
Which he had learned to Preach
He knew its weight in Gold in blessed hands
But alas, his heart remained empty and bleak
