The 2020-2021 NFL season was a wild one. All of the free agent moves, trades, surprising records, and COVID made it crazy, so I'm here to break it all down.

Tom Brady playing for another team!? No Vernon Davis or Travis Frederick!? Jason Garrett gets demoted... to the Giants offense!? If I would have told you 3 or 4 years ago that this all happened, you would have spit in my face and laughed. But, it really did happen. We got to see Tom Brady play for the Buccanneers. We didn't see names like Vernon Davis, Travis Frederick, Eric Weddle, and more pop up on stat sheets. Jason Garrett is now the Offensive Coordinator for the Giants and still kept the Cowboys out of the play-offs. Crazy.

WEEK 1

We got to see the first NFL game in Week 1. (There was no preseason due to COVID) This game was the Texans pitted against the returning Super Bowl champs, the Chiefs. As almost everyone assumed, the Chiefs beat the Texans, 34-20. Deshaun Watson played well, with 253 passing yards, 27 rushing yards, one passing touchdown, one rushing touchdown, and only one interception. David Johnson on his new team had 77 rushing yards, 32 receiving yards, and one rushing touchdown.  Will Fuller led the team with receiving yards, with 112, but it was Jordan Akins who scored the only receiving touchdown. He had only 39 receiving yards. The returning Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes, had a decent game as well, with 211 passing yards, no rushing yards, and 3 passing touchdowns. Clyde Edwards-Helaire had a extremely good game, with 138 rushing yards, no receiving yards, and a touchdown on the ground. Sammy Watkins led the Chiefs in receiving yards, with 82 yards. Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Sammy Watkins all had one receiving touchdown.

Some other big games were, Gardener Minshew balling out against the Colts, with 173 passing yards, 19 rushing yards, and 3 passing touchdowns for the win, Big Ben's (Ben Roethlisberger) first game back, with 229 passing yards, 9 rushing yards, and 3 passing touchdowns AND a win over the Giants, and Cam's (Cam Newton) big game against the Dolphins, where he passed for 155 yards, rushed for 75 yards, threw 0 touchdowns but rushed for 2 in a win.

WEEK 2

The first game of Week 2 was the Browns vs the Bengals. The Browns won that game, 35-30. Joe Burrow had a pretty good game, with 316 passing yards, 19 rushing yards, and 3 passing touchdowns. Uzomah, Tyler Boyd, and Mike Thomas all had one receiving touchdown. Baker Mayfields stats didn't match up to Burrow's but they were still pretty good. Baker threw for 219 yards, rushed for 5, threw 2 passing touchdowns, and only one interception. Nick Chubb ran it up with 124 rushing yards, 9 receiving yards, and 2 rushing touchdowns. Kareem Hunt did pretty good as well, with 86 rushing yards, 15 receiving yards, 1 rushing touchdown, and one receiving touchdown. Odell Beckham Jr. led the team in receiving yards, with 74 yards. The leading receiver was Tim Patrick who had 113 receiving yards. Tim Patrick and Jerry Juedy both had 1 receiving touchdown. (Since Sam Darnold started the majority of the snaps at quarterback, I am only adding his stats.) Sam Darnold had a decent game, with 230 passing yards, 84 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. He also led the team in rushing yards, with his 84 yards. Jamison Crowder was the leading receiver, with 104 receiving yards. Nobody had any receiving touchdowns for the Jets.
