I’m not sure when I made this, but I’ve no memory of it. It was something I needed to see, so may it entertain you for a moment. Posting while mobile, so there may be an error or two. Edits will be made later.

Good Sir

  The Raven lays to rest

For the first time in so long

He speaks the darkness from his chest

Knowing that being good is so wrong

His retirement is on the desk

Always in the form of her favorite song

Now the Raven has not a reason to kneel

But he has never been the villain before

And now his heart is forever still

Absently, he relinquishes his freedom to lore

Laying his head to rest, wanting no thrill

Dumped, trampled, ashamed and tore

The Raven has only been a Good Sir

Respectful at every opportunity to be so

Hated by filth, cherished by one as bear

As servant he learned to do as told

Always a mask and smile to wear

Pretending to be as she wishes and bold

The first of Sirs was this Raven of age

A knight within the modern time

Man within child’s body with mind caged

A Queen before him which is not entwine

A loyal servant keeping at bay his rage

In order to set her free, so he will not bind

This Raven has prolonged long enough

He must retire his life of a Sir for now

He needs not to pretend he is tough

Requires not now, even if desired, to bow

He is regretting before the door so rough

For he cannot live a cruel life, he sees not how…
