My life is a cosmic joke,

The universe laughing in my face,

As I fall and fall again,

There is no more certainty,

There is no more forgiveness,

Only darkness and oblivion,

Has opened their arms for me,

I am no longer blinded,

To the undeniable truth,

I cringe to the touch,

Stay away my soul cries out,

Close the door,

Leave me to rot,

Leave me to crumble to dust.

It feels odd clicking a smiley-face "like" button after reading that poem - it makes me sad to consider all those feelings occurring in one person and whatever inspired that poem, I hope there are better days now (or very soon) and these feelings haven't remained.

I am usually a positive person but while dealing with depression most of my life, I have to find a positive outlet for my thoughts and feelings. I haven't written this dark of poetry in some time.
