I used to believe in love,
But love has failed me,
Cut off my wings,
Destroyed my soul,
Crushed my heart to dust,
And beckoned me to welcome death,
I can no longer deny the emptiness,
I can no longer deny the rejection,
We are all lost stars in the sky,
That burn out and fade into oblivion,
I used to believe in love,
But that was before the flood,
Before the darkness seeped into my veins,
Poisoned my body,
Then I withered into nothingness,
This is what I've become.

Some of your poems are cloudy, and some are downright dark. I think we've all been there but these feel like new wounds - I hope they are not. Good, powerful writing.

Very good. I completely agree. I wrote two short articles on the same topic today (yesterday your time). Good luck. It only hurts until the pain goes away.

Very true, I've dealt with depression since high school and usually had to find my own way to cope. Writing poetry became a wonderful outlet for me to express myself in a safe way.
