Unrequited Love

Unrequited love is the greatest theme to write about in verse, prose, or song. There is nothing one can do about it; to love someone who will never love you. You can pretend to hate the other party for their indifference, but it is a false malevolence. They have captured your heart and soul and there is no way of forcing them to reciprocate your feelings for them. You are doomed. You either die or get over it, and as I still have breath, I assume it is the latter.

The pain is still there, of course, but it will eventually dissipate and disappear. I will be free to go through it all again. I can hardly fucking wait.
