Recap of last night's Montreal/Toronto game.

Toronto Maple Leaf's forward, William Nylander had a disasterous year in 2019-20.

In fact, Leafs fans were pressuring club management to trade Nylander for his lack of scoring.

Last night, though, Nylander scored two goals in a 5-4 overtime win over the Montrael Canadiens.

Down 1-0, Nylander scored at 15:56 of the first period to tie the game.

Is this a sign of things to come for Nylander?

Who knows.

Anyway, the Canadiens went ahead again at 19:36 of the first period with a goal by Josh Anderson.

Montreal went up 3-1 when Tomas Tatar scored a power play goal on a breakaway on a terrible line change by the Leafs at 7:20 of the second period.

Nylander scored on the power play at 18:00 of the second.

Leaf's Captain, John Tavares, scored on a two man advantage at 19:21.

1:03 into the third period, Anderson scored his second goal to put Montreal ahead 4-3.

Jimmy Vesey tied the game at 10:33.

3:24 into overtime, Morgan Rielly scored to give the Leafs the victory.

Nylander finished the night with three points.

Leaf's goaltender, Frederik Andersen stopped 32 shots.

Canadien's goaltender, Carey Price stopped 34 shots last night.

Toronto head to Ottawa to face the Senators tomorrow night.
