I hear you speak to me

With words unburdened

Through thoughts unhindered

The dark closes in around me

But you are a glowing moonbeam

And for a moment I am frozen in time

We look into each other's eyes

Images flash before my eyes

Of other muses from other times

But the image of you is now permanently

Burned in my mind
