For Victor

I remember

Meeting you

So young and vulnerable

But you didn't notice me

You were cocky

Leaving me a yellow gift

On my car tire

It wasn't the right time

We weren't there yet

You had a daughter

Your heart turned

It made you grow

And you became like an oak

When I met you again

My heart turned towards you

Even though

I was with another

And I cried out

But not in pain or agony

In joy

A year passed

Slow like molasses

But my promise held

My world crumbled

You caught the pieces

Dusted them off

Polished them

Opened your hands

And said

Here I am

Here you are

Take my hands in Yours

Let's take our time

We have both known pain

But with us

There is only

I look into Your Eyes

I see the truth

I feel desire

I remember

A vision of hope

In the park

Playing Together

Gazing into Your Eyes

Sitting in silence

And feeling Alive

For the first time

Very romantic. Great metaphors.
Victor is a lucky guy.
