Thanks

Thanks for all your grateful notes

Of cynicism regarding

My current lifestyle

But if I wanna drink myself to death

Listening to the Classical music station

It’s none of your business.

I’ve lived long enough

And will probably never meet

Anyone who loves me again.

So what!

Who needs love at my age?

I’ve got my cats and my cynicism

And memories of failed loves.

That’s all I need right now.

None of our business to cynically share.
None of our business to blindly care.
Can't grab your demons that'll always be there.
...And who the heck said that life should be fair?
Oh, life lets you know
.........................................when you are quite done.
Irony and pain ain't yet had all their fun.
Live life in the shade if you can't have the sun,
but don't let the Devil ever know that he's won.
And forgoodnessakes spurn ladies with koala-fur hats,
and likewise brush off all the damn bureaucrats.
But be nice to the kitties and their strange habitats,
for they rule the Underworld
...................................................with woomeras
..........................................................................and crazed wombats.

Funny. Thanks for the rebuke. I deserve it. Cheers, Craig.

I'd advise you not to, but a fine poem none-the-less, Craig

Thanks Mike. It goes too far and maybe she is right. I should find a less self-destructive hobby. Who knows?
Cheers,
Craig.
