Hush Little Baby

Hush, little Baby, don’t say a word,

Mama’s gonna find you a skeleton bird.

And if that skeleton bird don’t sing,

Mama’s gonna give it a broken wing.

And if that wing falls as you pass,

Mama’s gonna give it an eye of glass.

And if that eye of glass gets broke,

Mama’s gonna hang the bird by a rope.

And if that piece of rope does fray,

Mama’s gonna get some more without delay.

And if that skeleton bird gets free

Mama’s gonna fix things – wait and see.

And if that skeleton bird breaks apart,

Moma’s gonna glue it back as it did start.

And if that skeleton bird falls down

You’ll still be the sweetest little baby in town.

I can see this being written late at night with all the lights off except for what light a lap top shines. Very good, very spooky. This is a Halloween poem.

I wrote this out and then I found it was two lines short - luckily before I posted it. Thanks for giving it a read, Mike.
