A story of loving for a lifetime and beyond.

When we first met we didn’t say “I love you.”

We first said that with our eyes the instant we met.

On our third date you proved yours by asking me to be your wife.

I gladly then proved my love by quickly saying yes.

Eight months later we both proved our love

As we stood in front of the minister who married us.

Our vows to love honor and cherish were not given lightly.

We daily proved our love by never forgetting those vows.

A phrase came into popularity many years later.

People started saying, “I love you to the moon and back.”

But we proved our love every day with only the same, “I love you.”

Since the heart creates enough energy to drive a truck 20 miles every day,

In a lifetime that is equivalent to driving to the moon and back.

So, when you tell someone you love them to the moon and back

You’re saying you will love them with all the blood

Your heart pumps your whole life through.

We did not say it but we proved our love was to the moon and back

Because we confirmed our love that lasted your whole life through.

Though now you are gone to your eternal rest,

I love you still and always will love you to the moon and back.

As longas there is breathe in my body and blood pumps from my heart.
