I'd Rather Dream

The world is such a tacky gray

That’s why it's the realm of dreams where I choose to stay

Imagination is the scariest, but most powerful thing

It can create terrifying nightmares or spectacular futures

The most incredible thing though, is that it’s up to you

The things you imagine are based off the dreams you want to construe

Ambition flares because you have something to strive for

It’s a catalyst for you to become who you really want to be

So yes, I’d rather keep dreaming

Because in my head there's a beacon of hope always gleaming

However, the dreams don’t have to just be in your mind

When the dream ends, the journey to make it a reality can finally begin
