The Race To Immunity
-
The bloody fields
Of restlessness
I walk the valley
Of where I dread
The death of it all
Can it be beaten with a vaccine?
The pounding in my chest
Escalated by caffeine
Makes me so anxious
Fiending for more
And more, alone
The mountains of panic
Weighs down on me now
Where am I going?
Just "crazy"?
Or to anywhere other than "right here"?
The bonkersness I feel
The madness is so real
Time to open up my head
And stir the brain of soup I have
And feed it to my friends
And ask them, "do I taste lovely?"
I wonder what they would say
Outside, it is dark and wet
Inside, I am wild and insane
My mind is untamed
And I'm needy of affection
You know?
Just a woman's heart, to love me
But no matter how many stimuluses we get
I can't buy loving
I'm drowning in a puddle of fear
What's gonna happen to us all this year?
It's not a safe world yet
Are they really gonna put microchips
__in our heads?
