Driftwood-

dead man drifting

out over gelid waves-

some boorish door

hammered shut

a thistled thorn of rosebud

withered dim by smokey moons

a nightstick wand, a black rose

a message to the fainting ghosts.

Christy Writes

This is beautiful LE. Really sad too, not like I mind. I love the phrase "smokey moons".

Thanks for reading. Pretty much a reflection of how I have been feeling lately.

A lot of atmosphere in this poem, L. E. Almost haunting.
