Just a poem

When the sun falls, and moon rises,

Shadows come, full of surprises.

They seek to fright, they seek to scare,

The young maidens are everywhere

They prey on those less and unexpecting,

These ones that are easy to be affecting.

Affecting those who are all around,

Their next victim has been found.

I created this poem around Halloween, so it being spooky was intentional. Thanks for the comment.

The rhyming is very good and the feeling of darkness and fall of evening and rise of what comes out of it is very compelling. Great work! - E.E

Thanks for the wonderful feedback. This poem is probably one of my most favorite pieces of work I've done.
