There Will Be Diamonds

As you are pushed deep down below the surface

by the weight of your burdens

And you cannot seem to breathe

As the darkness of sorrow

Cloaks all hope for tomorrow

And you long to be free

As the pressures of achievement and gain

Stress into clots the blood of your veins

Fearing failures inevitability

As the flames of umbrage

Erupt from injustice

And fighting only leads to futility

So long as you do not cease to exist

Inunearthing all of these experiences

There will be diamonds

To dig out, polish, and clean

To measure, marvel, and glean

There will be diamonds
