Memories and observances from the first Gulf War

Scud

Mournful wail, just past midnight

Star of death plunging to earth

Bright protecting nephilim, rising to fight.

A flash, a boom, one light becomes many

Floating to earth like survivors

Of a battle in which there aren't any.

Angry messenger from a failed regime

Bent on the destruction of Jehovah's chosen

A mandatory conclusion to a mad man's dream

Destruction and mayhem strewn across the sand

Alliance of well meaning, there to lend aid

Two hundred plus militia killed by Babylon's hand.

Black smoke in the sky tells allies they're winning

Day becomes night as we exited the Gulf

How were we to know this end was just the beginning.
