Some People Just Never Let Go

I've held you in my arms before

But the night you left me for another's ams

Broke me to pieces, forevermore

Tired of only remembering how you became a whore

Maybe you always were one

__and I just refused to believe it

Because you used to be so faithful to me

Now you refuse to be in my life

And I can never seem to replace you right

I fumble to my knees and pray

But God don't want to bring you back to me

So me and Him or Her aren't speaking

The closest I got to your heart

Was right before calling you

__by my sister's name

On my last night in bed with you

I could blame losing you on her

But what would that do?

My mind forgets you

But my heart never will

Yes, I'm taking all my pills

As prescribed

__but you're still not mine

My heart will splatter across the world

On a wasted land

Here, in the heart of the ghetto

Where I belong

__for trying to kill my mom

With scars on my heart

Making life too hard

Lookin' out my windows never gets me anywhere

I'm writing my life away

__because you don't care

It eats me up inside

And I can't even cry

My eyes are dry

And I can no longer fry

Sending my love to nowhere

'Cause where else could you be

If you are not here?

You are nowhere near being near me

Probably skipped the west coast

To raise your baby

__that you didn't have by me

Who's father died

__like our history too

Mountains of pain

__I still have to climb

Knowing you won't be at the top

Makes me not even wanna try
