I am not a professional writer or English teacher. What I did read, I did not see any flaws. Like misspelling.
It was an interesting start. I found the flow easy enough to follow. I began to wonder more about your character. Some more details on them would have helped me set the mental stage, but that is just me.
I got the point I think. We all have the faces we show on church and to the world, but there is a face we hide.This is relevant in church. Since I used to go. I did feel a suspense start to form. I hope this helps.
