I do Conjure,

By Jason Woods

Walk with me now, where shadows meet light, that place in time where all things intertwine.

Follow my tales, as I do call, hear my words this evening in awe.

I call to them know, to sit at my side, to do my bidding to suffer no pride.

Come to me, and give me my wish, so that I may feast on their hearts from a dish.

Welcome me as a Mother to child, show yourself in a manner so mild.

One pleasing, and kind, one bright in my mind, a beauty with flaw, that I cannot find.

Speak to me in a voice like song, bring me desires, bring me my tome.

Give me your meaning, let my words give you life, show me your truth, this very night.

Show me your secrets, give me access to mine, lead me now to the road of your throne.

Welcome me into your bosom oh Goddess of night, the world in between, I must see with my eyes.

I have found myself lost among the souls that surround, forgotten my gift, lost in the sounds.

Return me now, I do demand, take me now to that Ancient land.

Give to me mine hearts delight, and I shall be yours in endless night.

Stroll willingly with you in the world in between, bound together I conjure this scene.

Your name is mine, and mine alone to command, mine to keep, mine to take hand.

I give myself now, with these very words, I conjure your gift to give them worth.

Beautiful writing, an ageless feeling to this poem.
