I want to ask

but I’m afraid.

Her touches linger,

Her arms feel safe,

Her lips feel soft,

Upon my skin.

Sharp words inside my head,

Pennies on my tongue,

Scars on my skin.

I know her answer,

But I know that I do not.

Do you listen to girl in red?
