“…hurts.”

You put a false

Brand of truth

On my hurt

And call it love

My dress vanished

Under the harsh lighting

Of the changing room

Now yours clings

To my soul

Your tongue

Wraps round my neck

Like a hangman’s noose

And pushes

I’m left sore

With bugs crawling

In my skin

And your truth

In my eyes
