"If you're offered a seat on a rocket ship, don't ask what seat! Just get on."
~ Sheryl Sandberg
One Seat Left
It fell into my lap from somewhere up in the sky,
this invitation – and I have no clue why.
A seat for a ship that is aimed for the stars;
will we pass Jupitor? Land down on Mars?
I really don’t care, and my bags are now packed
for the desire to get going is not at all lacked.
Strapped in and goggled to see monochrome,
I don’t miss the colors for I’m going home.

The modern take on 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth' - and does anyone recall what that phrase literally means, I wonder?

Something like... 'be thankful for what you are given, and go for it!' Something like that anyway. Wishful thinking on my part, but if anyone has a spare ticket knocking around they know just where to send it.
