Red Bird In Snow
Red
on white;
bright crimson
reminding me
of blood on white sheets.
A startling clash, color
glaring; an almost gory
sight that brings with it memories
of a sharpened blade against soft skin.
Wings spread, bird takes flight to leave itchy scars.
