Detecting Something Other Than Radar

Radar detectors detect something other than just radar. They also detect speeders. If you see a radar detector in somebody's vehicle, you automatically know that this person is a speeder. This
person drives over the speed limit and endangers people's lives. People wouldn't have radar detectors if they always obey the speed limit.
While visiting Virginia, my brother and sister-in-law were pulled over by the police. My sister-in-law was driving over 80 MPH. When the officer saw my sister-in-law's radar detector, he gave
her two tickets. One for speeding and one for having a radar detector. It's not illegal to have a radar detector in a vehicle in Tennessee, but it is in Virginia.
At first, my sister-in-law was going to try to fight the tickets, but my brother wouldn't let her. That was a smart thing for my brother to do. My sister-in-law broke the law and was obligated to pay the fines.
In 1997, an old friend who I went to school with and her ex-husband were killed because of speeding. As my friend's ex-husband was driving, he was going over 100 MPH. He crashed into a truck and as a result, my friend and her ex-husband died.
I want to take this opportunity to ask any readers who drive over the speed limit to slow down. If you drive over the speed limit, you endanger people's lives. Let me ask you this. Do you want a speeder to kill your loved ones? No, of course not. Please keep that in mind the next time you feel like speeding.
