I signed up to Booksie
and had a quick looksee
around this sociable site.
I was happy to see
that people like me
want to think and dream and write.
I read a kind heart,
Played her part
In bringing people together;
Double investigation
brought consternation
to a man at the end of his tether.
A poem's special feature,
one sea-dwelling creature,
shook hands in a how d'y' do?
And loving provision
of enhanced television
is described for me and for you.
And now it's for me
to set my pen free
and offer my work to this site.
I'll admit that I'm nervous,
but much more - I'm curious;
do you think that this poem is alright?

It's a fine bit of writing, not quite nail biting, but, hay, it works for the many. So keep up the good work, you may publish a book, and sell each one for a guinea.
