Earlier this week, Texas and other states in the deep south experienced a brutal winter storm with temperatures you would see in North Dakota, Alaska or Finland.

Millions endured and are still enduring this harsh weather without water, heat or lights, on top of the Covid virus to boot.

Texans have died from this frigid cold wave. The Texas National Guard was out in force doing their best. All Texans, trying to help each other get through this. All except one.

A son of Texas, by way of Calgary, Alberta where he was born, didn't deal without water, heat or light. Because he hightailed it to Cancun.

Like an old time bank robber being chased by a posse of Texas Rangers, he and his family crossed the border for the safety of Mexico.

While Texans struggled in life or death situations, he and his wife were poolside drinking Margaritas. His kids splashing in the pool. Their poodle....their poodle? Oh yes, they left their poodle to freeze in their mansion.

This is all very sad and let's hope the people get back the power and water and get their lives going as best they can.

But a real sad fact will be when Ted Cruz runs for reelection and wins his seat in the Senate.

So....Republicans of Texas, these are the questions you have to ask yourself before Ted "Cancun" Cruz runs again.

Q: Where was Ted Cruz when the power went out?

A: Cancun.

Q: Where was Ted Cruz when the heat went out?

A: Cancun.

Q: Where was Ted Cruz when the lights went out?

A: Cancun.

Q: How many of you had the chance to run off to Cancun to avoid the storm?

A: ???

And if his poodle could talk, I'm sure he would ask, "Why didn't you take me with you?

In the Republican's alternate universe, suffering, like taxes, is for little people. He will have no trouble getting reelected.

Sad, but true.

Watching 'Zerozerozero'. There are parts of Mexico where it'd be preferable to in Texas now.

A good read. ... It will be awhile before Costello and Crus will have to run again, so all the necessary "Alternate Truths" will have time to Echo their way to the masses, and through Fox news. I will be surprised if anyone will have to pay the piper for what amounts to negligent homicide.

Cruz will spin this around saying he was in Cancun looking for other energy sources for Texas like drinking Margaritas or putting suntan lotion on you to keep the body heat in. Sadly, he will be reelected.

Interesting article, 88 fingers. Our current Prime Minister was admonished when he and his family went to Hawai whilst bushfires raged through southern Australia. He had to return home to deal with it and now cartoonists portray him wearing a floral Hawaian shirt. Funny.
