The best memories are the ones we see

With closed eyes and a shattered heart

From the first kiss to wanting to propose on one knee

Even when we’re far apart

I can still see you, M’Lady

But it’s those memories that surface when you’re not ready

The ones that were meant to leave a mark

The ones that leave you a little unsteady

Especially the one that always takes your breath away

Believe me, I still think of you day after day

I’ll close my eyes and replay that first night

I wish I could keep my emotions at bay

But then I remember how you gave my lip a bite

How we kissed for awhile

I loved seeing you smile

So I gave you a promise ring

Hoping that one day I’d see you walking down the aisle

I was willing to give you everything

Remember when you pulled me under that window?

A simple movement, yet exciting though

Just to give me another kiss in the dark

You entered my life as beautiful as  a rainbow

For me, every one of our kisses held a spark

Oh, how I love the memories of me and you…
