Freaky

Kaleidoscope windmills with heaped carcass birds
Shout 'good morning!' through bullhorns of doubt

Sad clowns laugh at the overcast skies and you,
And prepare picnic lunches for escaped jesters

The slumbering me pretends he's awake
And writes gibberish disguised as thought

Somewhere over the rainbow where ideas are born,
Laughing hyena's tell inappropriate and nasty limericks

To rabbi's and nuns who don't even crack a smile
As they head for the exit with disgust in a bag

Ideas floating in gelatinous waves pierce the veil
Between waking and shouldn't, but I do, yes I do

Chattering monkeys share jokes and a happy nod
With hunters who sharpen their tongues and macho

Caped crusaders stay home mainlining coffee
As The Joker tells riddles on the terrace of doom

The Penguin hurls insults and rotten fruit
While trying not to listen to his DeGeneres act

Trying to finish this poem to justify it's point
Is an uphill battle on the mountain of "what?"

Some pretty weird and fantastic imagery, Mike. Sounds just like my day from beginning to end.
