Another Seuss-liker

The possum says, "Hey, I'm walking here!"
That it's across a highway, he just doesn't care
He's too dense to realize or feel any fear,
Just keeps waddling despite the air horn's blare
The screech of tires fills the haunts of midnight
Road pizza left where possum used to be
A shaken trucker recoils at the darting possum sight
Birds of prey enjoy the possum buffet for free
Beware, kids, when you come of age to drive
Keep your eyes peeled for a sudden wild
You may think, 'be careful, if you want to stay alive!"
But remember, by your headlights they're beguiled!
The possum says dick after he meets cold steel
Traveling sixty five MPH, they'll be a fur explosion
So stay alert for nature when you're behind the wheel,
'Cause hosing down your mobile is no fricking fun!

An unusual poem, that's for sure. Poor possum!

Thanks, Hull, and I agree, but I couldn't just delete it, I had to keep going
