In prayer I plead for You mighty hand...Oh lord can you hear my call?

OH, LORD, CAN YOU HEAR MY CALL?

Dear Lord, please calm within me this storm that’s in my heart,

I have so many things that are bothering me, and I don’t know where to start.

As my eyes adjust slowly to the darkness my tears begin to fall,

In prayer I plead for Your mighty hand, Oh Lord, can You hear my call?

So many things in my life - are in much need for a change,

So many things consuming my every thought – I feel as though I’m going to go insane.

So tired of selfishness, attitudes, greed and disconnects, so I ignore the hurt,

Uncertain as to how much more I can take – there’s got to be more to my world.

I tried to forget happenings in the past just a short time ago,

I hide the frown and hold in the tears so a smile is what I show.

I have asked forgiveness and am trying hard to forget things that have been done wrong

And I give thanks to God for all the hills I’ve climbed for they have made me strong.

I am known to be no beauty queen but I have learned to love me in every way,

Every pound, every freckle, every wrinkle and every single gray!

I’m not sure if changes through the years might be where the problem lies,

But I cannot tolerate greed – I don’t want that in my life.

So, dear God, I ask You to be with me as I struggle to go with the flow,

For my true thoughts for this chapter in my life is that it’s time to let it go.
