A piece of verse intended to accompany illustrations of the events described - for a children's bedtime story book?

Little Laura,

Lost and lonely,

In the swirling

Sea of knees.

Went to Tesco

With her father,

Then she lost him

By the cheese.

Held his finger

Really tightly,

Just as he had

Said she must.

Then she spied a

Gold and shiny,

Lying in the

Fluff and dust.

Slipped his finger,

Snatched the shiny,

Squatted down, and

Sighed delight.

Looked up smiling,

Then got tearful -

Daddy now was

Not in sight!

Little Laura,

Lost and lonely,

In the swirling

Sea of knees.

Wailed and whimpered,

Then was lifted,

Hoisted high by

Man with cheese!
