A modern Maori woman known as Kea who is a henchwoman for The White Rose attempts to steal a sacred pounamu necklace from a marae. But she is interrupted by a traditional Maori woman named Ruru, who guards the necklace. Both women engage in traditional Maori combat; using taiaha vs patus.

High in the mountain of Taranaki, a traditional marae holds a sacred pounamu necklace which once belonged to the female Maori chief Awhi. The necklace lies resting on a mantle on the back wall of the wharenui underneath a taiaha and patus. This necklace is priceless to Ngati Tui the iwi that it belongs to; but an expensive piece of jewellery to many women, especially a greedy woman who has assimilated to the western world system of wealth and power of material possessions. This woman is known as Kea; a sexy slim Maori woman who maintains her athleticism through her netball playing. She is a henchwoman to The White Rose. Kea has come to the marae to claim the necklace.

Kea is wearing a modern kapa haka outfit. A gold, white and black tipare (headband) in a taniko design that matches her top, and has on a black mini skirt with piupiu (flax) on top of it. She is also wearing black tight shorts underneath. Two white pois (balls on a chord) hang from her hips. She has her black hair done in two braids and has on black lipstick, she has no tattoos and wears two greenstone earrings. Kea stands at the mantle and looks at the pounamu necklace and smiles. She is just about to grab it when she is interrupted.

"ko au te kaitiaki o te mekameka pounamu." (I am Ruru, guardian of the pounamu necklace) The words are spoken by another Maori woman. Except she is not wearing the same Maori outfit. She is wearing a traditional Maori outfit; a korowai (cloak) that covers her overweight body. Her hair is black and long; she leaves it out, freely flowing in the wind. A leaf of a bird is above her left ear. She is also heavily tattooed; a few on her arms and a muku on her chin. She wears no makeup. Her name is Ruru. She is the female warrior here to protect the pounamu necklace.

"ehara i a koe tena." (That does not belong to you!) Ruru says to Kea. Kea turns around and gives Ruru an evil stare. "I'm going to colonize it!" Kea replies and does a backwards flip and lands at the mantle then grabs two white patus from the wall. She then gets into a fighting stance then comes at Ruru swinging the patus. Ruru side steps then quickly runs to the wall and grabs a brown taiaha off the wall. She then quickly spins around and gets into a fighting position. Kea then gets back into her fighting position. They both clash their weapons together.

Ruru pulls the taiaha above her head with both hands then comes forward down towards Kea. However, Kea blocks it with her two patus. "Nice try," Kea says. Kea then pushes the taiaha out of Ruru's hands with one powerful swing of her patus. The taiaha lands on the floor. Kea then smiles. Kea then lifts the patus and brings them down fast towards Ruru. But Ruru catches both of Kea's wrists. "Ngati Tui!" Ruru says then knees Kea in the stomach. Ruru then does a uppercut to Kea's chin, Kea lifts off the floor; she then lands on her back still conscious. Kea tries to lift her head while Ruru grabs the taiaha. Ruru pushes it down into Kea's forehead then pushes her head to the floor; knocking her out. Her body is now motionless. Her arms are stretched out behind her head, while one of her legs lays straight forward the other leg is in the bent knee position.

Ruru then places the taiaha back on the wall. She then grabs the two patus and puts them back too. She then looks at the pounamu necklace and smiles. Ruru then walks over to Kea who is still unconscious. She kneels over her body and grabs her headband, and pulls it around Kea's mouth. She then pushes Kea over and grabs the two pois that are on her hip then ties her hands behind her back. Ruru then grabs Kea and places her over her shoulder. Ruru walks out of the wharenui and walks over the grass to the entrance of the marae. She now stands under the arch way. Kea suddenly gains conscious. Ruru throws Kea off her shoulder out of the marae. Kea lays on her back wriggling and trying to yell. Ruru looks at Kea then does a pukana.

The End.
