You never really know what fraction of life is spent until you reach the whole

The 4/5 Solution

I don’t like

Where I think

This is headed

I’m too young

To be feeling this old

Moves that

Until recently

I took for granted

Are getting

More dicey

If the truth be told

I’ve become

A symphony

Of creaks and groans

I’m experiencing

Pains where they

Ought not to be

If my body

Was a temple

It would be condemned

If my life

Was an ocean journey

I’d be a ship

At the bottom

Of the sea

Each moment

Is a grain of sand

Placed on the scales of time

Through thirty-seven million

Minutes of life

I wouldn’t alter

One minute of mine
