Listening to the radio,

Calm and collected

The TV playing a rodeo

I sighed and relented.

Quiet as I was all alone

In my two-floor apartment.

Stand I near my bedroom door,

And then on the window, I heard a roar.

A breaking of glass

Shards flooding the floors

I go to the kitchen and grab a knife,

Such an unpleasant strife.

I face the culprit and take a deep breath

So many glass shards on the left

I was taken aback as all I could see,

Was a doppelganger, who looked exactly like me.

Shaking now, I shuddered and shook

Directly at me, my doppelganger looked

I tightly held my kitchen knife,

It was all I could count on for my life.

A thought came to me so miraculously,

The doppelganger was unarmed and so I flew across

I quickly went to my bedroom and dialed a familiar tone,

“911 what’s your emergency?”
