musings of innerstanding
My painting " The popularity of waterproof cell phones "

A glance below into the depths,

Strands of kelpy luminescence.

A deeper stare unveils the myths,

That life unseen, is full of twists.

Forgotten lore of sailing dreams,

Moves gently now beneath the streams.

Of Kraken, serpents, and the Mer,

Whose existence none concur.

But of the sea my spirit risen,

Giving knowledge of the wizen.

A past life to swim perpetually?

Passing on these thoughts to me?

I, myself, have lost some days,

Staring into the darkened haze.

The gentle lapping on the shore,

To fiercest gales of wicked storms.

All wonders once, but spied by them,

Of mythic beings, and distant kin.

Who told the tales of siren songs,

And monstrous beasts, old and long.

History maintains the lore,

Of encounters from the shore.

From freighters, sailboats, and the tug,

And cold deep graves who're never dug.

Or miracles through salvations passage,

Like Jonah saved from waves a crashing.

My dreams ensconced in days of yore,

And distant gazing out to shore,

As waves bring motion to my step,

That on land I can't forget.

I wonder if my dreams are true,

Each unknown life comes into view,

And wonder if those legged men,

Are foes or allies in the end.
