The winds are blustery as a dreary evening crosses the sky.
The clouds are dark, they don’t lie.

I rub my eyes and crawl into bed.
Soon I am resting as dreams fill my head.

I leave my body behind.
I find messages of love and light, they are a sign.

Even though awake by day, I need to find a decisive way.
One not too bright but yet not as dark, one that fills me with an intriguing spark.

Abruptly I sense a door close behind me.
I return quickly to my pounding heart.

My body is tired and heavy as I struggle to get up.
I’m confused as an open window is hailing me to jump.

Why am I so full of fright?
What has happened to my sight?

I’m useless without it and need the Loving Light.
I know it’s there, deep down inside.

I look all around and what do I see?
I see clutter as deep as the sea.

I search for light but find nothing but a dark stain.
Nighttime, daytime, it seems all the same.

Between night and day, I engage in life and sometimes stray.
Where do you go when you lose your way?

An illusion at best is this life’s quest.
This life’s been good to me and I truly am blessed.
