A recap of last night's Toronto/Ottawa game.

Auston Matthews made an extroranary denfensive play in overtime last night that resulted in the winning goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators.

"Its a big point for us," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the postgame press conference.

Connor Brown opened the scoring for Ottawa with a short handed goal at 18:53 of the first period.

Ilya Mikheyev tied the game at 14:40 of the second period.

Jason Spezza put Toronto ahead 2-1 at 10:41 of the third period.

Alex Formenton tied the game at !3:14 and pushed the game to overtime.

4:42 into overtime, Toronto's Justin Holl scored.

Shots on goal were 41-31 for Toronto.

Ottawa's goalie, Anton Forsberg stopped 38 shots last night.

Toronto hosts the Edmonton Oilers tomorrow night.
