A Collection of New Alliterative Verse
by ArchDuke Kenneth Khanh Du

“My reflection upon the current climate which send heat waves simmering throughout time.”

New Alliterative Verse has five set parameters defined by me:
1. A couplet line poem with 20 lines or less
2. Each line contained no more than eight syllables
3. Each line has alliteration of either consonant or vowel
4. The alliteration must be tied to the next line (hence couplet)
5. Rhymed or unrhymed

Alliterative Verse as a form was adopted by me from the skalds of Norway. Skalds were the Viking's poet-musicians and their poetic form began somewhere in the 9th Century. The original form(s) with many however remain unstructured and often confusing /or ambiguous.

(275)  She’s in High Demand!

You are too young to be with me.

I am too old to be with you.

Your mind thrill view till one gets kill!

My mind thinks ill; it hurts to move!

You want to run before we laid?

I can’t get up after we ate!

I like for you to lose some weight.

You want from me some dentine teeth?

You say I don’t take you out now.

We argue every time we chow!

I want to make love in Cancun.

You need to shop and tan at noon.

What about a trip to Vegas?

You wanted a house to save us!

Am I getting through to you now?

I don’t want a fat blue cash cow!

Kindling you enough with gist song?

Tickling me till you cough withdrawn.

You’re much too young be rid of me!

You’re too old child to be without!
