STILL holds sway

Standing on the edge, the abyss awaits

A swan dive at the overlord's request,

Lemmings by the millions march to their doom

As the puppet master pulls invisible strings

And plays out his delusions of greatness,

With America and destruction his shiny toys

Driven by dreams and visions only he can see

Only a means to an end, we're sacrificial lambs

Sent charging the wire in a suicidal assault,

Our lifeless bodies heap a stairway to his throne

Ordered into the guns by a general out of harm's way

He's indifferent to the suffering and havoc he reaps

Pomp and circumstance, the medals and parades

Line the hollow and empty road to perceived glory

Sees us as unaware pawns protecting his king

And we are, and do, by the millions, still
